I made the mistake of seeing the movie before reading the book, thinking that the book is always better than the movie. KITTY’S BEEN A LITTLE COMPLAINER all morning, and I suspect both Margot and Daddy are suffering from New Year’s Eve hangovers.
The protagonist is incredibly lazy, whiny and empty headed. I always get the ones that start with the heroine being taken by the hero not realizing that they have been falling in love in the process. I have mixed feelings about both the book and the movie (which is irrelevant, except that it influenced my experience of the book). I loved this book. I Love You".
I knew it would be bestseller... One of my favorites among the books and authors I discovered as editor and bought rights for SerbiaSo badly written that it detracted from the touching and interesting premise. I still however like Ahern's writing style. She has no interests, no hobbies, no job. Horrible book, bored me to tears.
It’s been 16 years since Cecelia Ahern’s blockbuster debut, Calls a club owner to arrange a karaoke singing and pretends to be her friend, because it's "embarrassing", and so on. She lived for her husband, and when he died, she lost everything, even his friends.
Can a girl be in love with two boys at once? If only life, widowhood, and grief were as neat and tidy as Cecilia Ahern imagined....I seem to be one of very few who didn't like this book.
