They also brought a band in for the event. I can’t say enough good about this place. This new KOA has many very nice amenities....Jackspot café with it's occasional live music, great sunset views and many outdoor tables, pools, rental equipment including bikes, golf carts, kayaks, etc., clean bath houses and laundry, excellent cable and wifi, nice shallow beach right on the Chesapeake Bay, associated Sunset Beach Resort hotel, play areas, dog areas, snack bar in the main registration area, nice camper store, and activities for the kids and dogs and adults as one of our pups won the recent Halloween costume contest!!! .

There are sites tagged as patio sites because they have a wooden deck and gravel to park on.

Definitely will return again.

Mostly this is a large mowed field with sites featuring water, electric, cable, and sewer. Also would have been nice to have more than 1 shower to rinse off near beach entrance. Restrooms/showers were clean and beach and pool nice.

Overall, we would go back. This is strictly from an RV perspective, Class A with TOAD. In fact we are returning for the 4th of July this year.

We booked last November for a July stay and specifically said we wanted to be next to our friends who made their reservation the same day. There are many pros to staying here including the following:I stayed here for the first time this weekend in a safari tent, which is like a hotel room (at a hotel room's price) set up in large tent. Manager didn't seem to care and said "well, you're both in the same section so you're close". WIFI was strong.

Great attentive folks and everything is first rate. They hosted a pot luck dinner the last time we were there. The food was a bit expensive.

Lots of seagulls in this area.We really enjoy our time at Chesapeake Bay KOA in Cape Charles.

The site was grass, no shade, level, had a picnic table and fire ring.
