From John Paul Lodge, foot passengers can also ride the Allen Peak Tram to the top of the mountain to see the expansive views of Ogden, Ogden Valley, The Great Salt Lake, Ben Lomond Peak, and the start of the 2002 Winter Olympics Downhill course.

Some dirt bikes also created a huge rut in the snowy/muddy section that's 6-8 inches deep in parts and goes for hundreds of feet at a time. This is Scotland’s most southerly munro, and the ease of access from Glasgow makes it one of the busiest peaks in the UK. It has a good mix of terrain and outstanding views as you ride through the trees to the narrow ridges over smooth winding trails to gnarly rocky switchbacks. The Ben Lomond Trail can be ridden both directions as an out-and-back ride or as a shuttle down from the Technical terrain with no alternate lines.Moderately steep.

Trail was easy to follow.The hike was beautiful. Ben Lomond Peak via North Skyline Trail is a 24.0 kilometer heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Ogden, Utah that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as difficult. A few spots All rights reserved. Such was the case of our attempt to stand atop one of the biggest mountains in the Northern Wasatch – Ben Lomond Peak. After leaving the parking area the trail crosses Cobble Creek and begins a series of switchbacks up the mountain. Then I took my time getting to Willard Peak, and took my time coming back as I was just enjoying the whole experience. I don’t think this hike should be labeled Hard, I would call it Moderate. Amazing views from both sides. The trail offers a number of activity options. More snow at top (knee deep) but we followed tracks that were there from past hiker Better hikes with less annoyances all around.

If climbing the trail as mapped, start at the North Fork … Great hike and views into Ogden Valley. And while it ends on the tip of Ben Lomond Peak, there are two other more-used trails that reach the peak (Ben Lomond and Northern Skyline). First time ever hiking this finally. Some technical terrain and limited alternate lines.Very steep.
What I loved most about it was the different landscapes passing through, the open meadows 3/4 to the top was also lovely, felt open as isolated at that time. We started yesterday at 8am and got back down at 4pm. From the summit, the Wasatch Range can be seen stretching 100 miles from the Idaho border to Salt Lake City. We started early (7:45am) and the trail was fine. Mountain Biking. Canada), the Skyline Trail has received its share of ink with the out-and-back north section from North Ogden Divide to Ben Lomond Peak achieving the most notoriety. Once you finish the switchback section at the start, the views really open up and is very scenic all the way to the top.
