Sans révéler l'intrigue, il faut dire que c'est un scenario qu'on a déjà vu décliner je ne sais combien de fois. He really wanted to be human.
I think.
I wish there was a second season and after the power outage he realizes he doesn’t need the tubes to live.I know I'm quite late to the party, but I'd like to share anyway.Fuck Rowan. It's been marketed as a Netflix original here in the UK...always surprises me how Netflix can get away with that.According to Rotten Tomatoes the series is pretty clichéd and a slog to get through. But I had high hopes because it's by one of my favourite authors George RR Martin.
I watch basically every sci-fi out there, no matter how crap, and I really struggled to get through this one. Who even knows? It's beautifully shot at least, and the CGI is nice.Oh, and the Captain is a hologram.
It's not totally clear) to meet aliens who've been detected flying by to... ask them to help?
Which only further underlines my disappointment with this series. Basically a crew of a ship are flying out from Earth (which is dying?
Also the art in the book was really amazing. (There was a movie too which is also good, but different enough that I think the book is worth reading.) GoT has had GRRM actually penning scripts, and is trying to cram 1000 page novels into 10-hour series.I just find it hard to believe that the second series adapted from his work, arguably a follow up to GoT is really bad. It's really bad.
Il est vrai, cette histoire date de 1978! Please help. I’m going to have to read the novella.Subreddit for the SyFy series, Nightflyers, based on the George R. R. Martin science fiction horror novella.Press J to jump to the feed. Most of the time nobody is talking and MySTerIOUs music is playing. It's not that it's objectively really bad, it's just disappointingly mediocre. Who even knows?Since you have no desire to watch the rest, the Commander is actually a robot/cyborg but then it turns out he is being controlled by a weird fetus abomination male/female hybrid clone of his Mother in a test tube. The sets and production value are really top-notch.
Just gave up right there. Press question mark to learn the rest of the …
Yes the writing is weird and it's full of unnecesarry subplots, but the show got really interesting at the end, why the fuck this network can't finish something for once? And possibly the real bad guy.
I As far as positives go, the special effects were mostly pretty good, and I liked a few of the actors.I’ve seen three episodes so far and already getting bored by the repeated plot of bad L-1 behavior, crew seeing hallucinations, facing dangers …etcAre they going to move beyond that & eventually shows real first contact or it going to be the same for the remaining seven episodes? It's really really dumb.
Nightflyers is a 100-page novella, that SyFy tried to stretch out into a 10-hour series.
I'm an old GRRM fan. Predictably, given its creator, the book ending of Nightflyers is full of sudden, dark twists.

Syfy didn't create the show they just have distribution rights in the u.s. Netflix has distribution rights in other countries. The show was produced by a third party studio who sold both networks rights to host the show as their "originals".False...it was produced by Universal Cable Productions which is owned by the same company that owns Syfy....and Netflix co-produced as they gave a boatload of money which is why the special effects and physical sets are so good.> Syfy didn't create the show they just have distribution rights in the u.s.However when Netflix purchases international distribution rights, that sometimes gives them some level of creative input/control, such as presumably in this case as they are listed as a co producer. I think. Edit: Sorry, SyFy's Nightflyers.
There appears no clear rhyme or reason behind many of the things people transparently do to drive the various arcs forward with all the grace of a one-legged elephant toward the finale.
But even that description would be kind, because the collection of barely connected subplots on display doesn't feel as though it was ever moving toward anything in particular. Press J to jump to the feed. Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts It's a shame tho.But I had high hopes because it's by one of my favourite authors George RR Martin. The main difference here is the level of involvement and how well the shape of the adaptation matches the shape of the source material. So far, premise seems ok right? But they've sent a completely fucked up crew. It was twisted and fun, always willing to go a little too far and beyond my expectations. So, it's worth noting that GRRM didn't have much involvement in the adaptation (he has an exclusive contract with HBO). I loved the show. Spoilers for episode 1 follow. The whole premise is completely screwed up.
FML. Nightflyers is a science fiction horror novella by American writer George R. R. Martin, released as a short novella in 1980 and as an expanded novella in 1981.A short story collection of the same name was released in 1985 that includes the expanded novella.
Why did they give him what he wanted?I haven't watched Nightflyers yet, and I read that it was cancelled (yep, I am very late).I'd rather know first, does it end on a cliffhanger? I'd imagine a lot of people felt the same way.I've read the novella and watched the original movie that came out in the 80s.
