But taken strictly as a follow-up to that original tale, this book is shaping up to be a worthy sequel. It's taken what seemed like a ridiculous plot twist with Wolverine's new power and made some more out of the concept. Sure, they did hype the fact that he was back for a good year, but in the five Return of Wolverine issues written by Charles Soule, the real Logan was back. At no point does Charles Soule create excitement around Logan's return as Wolverine. It has the same spartan, stripped-down storytelling approach.
