:)The screen light is controlled by depressing the F1 and F2 keys along with the Alt key, however the keyboard lights do not go off or dim, why not.on my surface, F1 and F2 control screen brightness. So yea, this is an INCREDIBLY stupid design decision that i hope somebody has a workaround for, but why in the hell does the backlight for keyboard shut off if you dont type for a few seconds? This has its limitations foremost of which is the make of your laptop.

And while this was happening, The keys were unresponsive, decided to reboot the laptop and it worked just fine after that.
