On the tech side, Total War: Three Kingdoms takes steps forwards and backwards over Total War: Warhammer. I say Warhammer there so much lore and battle changing magic that make battle require more strategy Three Kingdoms is their best selling Total War game, but I find it interesting that many youtubers etc. No amount of graphical finagling will fix it either since it's gameside not clientside. I must be playing a different game/build, altogether. Multi-threading has improved, but the Beta DirectX 12 support that's available in the Total War: Warhammer series has been dropped, making this a DirectX 11 only release. Ye, I mentioned that, just that the 36k current peak is also due to the DLC, the stable has been ~14k which is indeed higher than the normal for 3K. Performance is easily worse than Warhammer I at launch. I recently decided to get into Total War (never played one before) and was planning to pick up Warhammer II as I'd heard good things about it. All depends on YOUR hardware ... as it does with every TW game. I did love a lot of the campaign changes in Three Kingdoms to make for more interesting choices, though.
Can anyone comment on performance / what you're running on? Three Kingdoms returns with a fairly typical set of graphics settings. If i have to choose between these 2 I would choose Three Kingdoms, this is the best total war game to me. But Warhammer 2 is also too good, it feels like a crime not to recommend. Adaptive Sync sorted a lot of the lag for me, still get some but at least it's playable now. Total War: Three Kingdoms Graphics Settings. Its not totalwar... its scripted to the extreme and a mess. © Valve Corporation. I dont think that three kingdom is their best selling game tho, I would give this to warhammer 2 just by looking at the player count (13k in TK and 36K in WH2). It's much dependent on your taste.

It's really jarring going from such a wide variety of units to what 3K offers. Also set your card to adaptive rending or it will default to 30fps if it cant manage to stay at 60. It's better, but IMO the graphics aren't as good as warhammers. Instead they chose Warhammer. I bounced off of it quite quickly compared to how long I lasted playing previous historical TW's like Shogun 2, Rome 2 and Attila. That is so ♥♥♥♥ing huge if you think off it. 3K was sellin good for several reasons. right now nearly 40.000 People play Warhammer 2. Its so smooth in comparison to Warhammer. Really weird. Would you prefer a game with gigantic monsters or something that is character focus with Dynasty Warriors element. rarely play it. Battles play horrible too. Stutters on campaign map, laggy mouse performance and blurry graphics are just things I experienced in a little over 2 … Three Kingdoms presumably sold very well on the Chinese market as you say, hence the high sales.
