Best regards. Would have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful hotel .The best view ever - the hotel is built on a cliff and offers incredible views of the ocean/sunsets. Iguanas on our balcony too . We were there for a wedding at this hotel and everyone was very attentive and accommodating. He was trying to cover up for his staff.
They wanted us to fill out a survey if we had a good experience! The shower head was old. Playa Jaco is the closest beach to the capital city of San Jose, so it has no shortage of visitors.
Manager Frederic was not overly worried when we told him what had happened. Taxes and fees that are shown are estimates only. They were extremely friendly and happy people.
Popular attractions Jaco Beach and Herradura Beach are located nearby. The infinity pool, hot tub, the yoga deck, the rooms and the sunset view are a once in a lifetime must-visit. We all are glad to know that you had such a great time with us and are looking forward to your next visit. The pool and terrace restaurant are excellent with great food but I do agree with others that the amazing sunsets are a little spoilt by allowing paying day trippers in.
The day maid was incredible and always did a fantastic job, but the turn down maid only came on the first day, and did not come back for the rest of the trip which we found odd because we liked the service, particular the towel exchange, and we feel we missed out on it. This hotel had the most amazing views that I’ve ever experienced. The staff went out of the way to set up a sunset dinner for our minimoon - the hotel was clean, staff was super friendly, and while there's not much to do in the hotel besides the pool & spa, it's a perfect mini getaway for a day or two.Stayed here for 2 nights with 2 rooms for family of five.

I have been to 15 countries over the past few years and stay at a lot of resorts and Caletas has been the best! Gift shop has very cute gifts that are reasonably priced and high quality. Pura Vida !! A special mention for Amphitheater restaurant staff Johan Guzman bar tender Supervisor - Reiner Waiter - Adam Chef - Christopher Castillo Ramon - breakfast & lunch chef Plus others that I didn’t get names of , the front of house staff , the room staff , the gardeners , the shuttle staff ( had a great trip down to the gorgeous beach & visit to palace adjacent to hotel ) the great boutique staff who were so helpful ( lovely range of goods & plenty of souvenirs to take home .

There was no "Do not disturb" sign, so the door bell started ringing about 9 with the pool cleaner, maid, etc. Now £208 on Tripadvisor: Hotel Villa Caletas, Jaco District. However you soon learn to slip up to the pools at the adjoining more exclusive sister hotel Zephyr to miss this.
It was so nice to have a private oasis, with monkeys passing by, toucans flying around, and ask the other wildlife, but there were a few things that would have made it even better.

You will see wildlife... macaw’s, all types of birds, iguanas and normally monkeys (although they apparently don’t like the heat and didn’t catch sight of them this time in March, but last time in December they were running around trees at beach). The sheer scale and beauty of the owners determination to make this magnificent hotel from nothing is overwhelming.

We strive to give the very best service to all our guests and daily trained all of them so we can deliver such an experience. The restaurant Amphitheater ( was only one open but all we needed , start of lockdown in Costa Rica due to Covid 19 ) fabulous setting , the sunset is unbelievably beautiful here , watch with your cocktail, the breakfasts were great, tasty & filling , the evening meals , we had three , were really good & in our opinion very reasonably priced for the quality & choice .
You cannot help but be impressed with this amazing place , we had a trip out one day around the local area to enable my husband to do some birdwatching , the landscape along the coastline is fabulous. He apologized on behalf of the staff person and said he will take care of things and take care of us for the rest of our stay. [email protected] And what about the view. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable. [email protected] were blown away by the Master Suite with the private pool over looking the ocean!
